Porsche 944 Turbo
The Porsche 944 Turbo was first introduced in 1985, and remained an option through 1991. The 944 Turbo featured a turbocharged and intercooled version of the standard 2.5-litre engine. The Turbo produced 220 hp. Additionally, Porsche beefed up the 944 with improved aerodynamics, a strengthened gearbox external oil coolers for the engine and transmission, new brakes, and stiffer suspension. In 1989, the Turbo’s power was increased to 250 hp. A Cabriolet (convertible) version was an option in 1991.
